Surface Preparation
Preparation of the
surface prior to applying vinyl is essential. Surface contamination has to be removed: oil and gas residues, Dirt and road
grime just to name a few.
A single solvent such as alcohol, denatured or isopropyl, is OK.
Be as thorough as possible when
cleaning any surface. The few extra seconds needed will save unnecessary problems and not ruin the decal.
What is a Decal?
A Decal is a different product compared to a Sticker. A Sticker is a sticky label with a design printed onto it (like a postage
stamp). A Decal is precision cut from vinyl - there's no "background" compared to a Sticker!
**Vinyl Decals can go on the outside of your vehicles Windows or any hard surface
**They are Waterproof & last
up to 5 years
**They can be scrapped off if no longer needed or wanted
**They will not interfere
with rear wipers
A Decal has three parts as pictured below:
The top layers is called application tape, it allows you to transfer the sticker to the
surface you want to stick it to. The next layer is the sticker itself. The sticker consists only of the logo itself, there
is no white or clear area around it. The bottom layer is the backing paper the adhesive underside of the sticker rests on
this.
It’s simply
a matter of peeling back the application tape, when you do this the sticker will go with it, and if a part or parts do not
then just lay the application tape back over the decal rub and peel again.
Then stick the application tape and
the sticker where you want to apply it. .
PLEASE DO NOT BE IN A HURRY!!!!!!!
Once the decal touches the glass or surface, it cannot be moved again!!!!!!!
Squeegee the graphic down with a
credit card or your fingers. Then carefully peel the top transfer tape away from the graphic at a 45 degree angle. If a letter
or object moves, just position the transfer tape back in place, rub the decal a couple of times and peel again .When you remove
the application tape only the sticker will remain.
ENJOY YOUR NEW DECAL!!!!!!!!!
